Father’s Day Trivia - Did you know?

  • There are more than 70 million fathers in the U.S.A today.
  • The nation’s very first statewide Father’s Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910 in Washington.
  • In 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnson issued the 1st proclamation honoring fathers on the 3rd Sunday in June.
  • It wasn’t until 1972 that Father’s Day was officially made into a national holiday.

With Father’s Day just around the corner, it’s time to celebrate the contribution that our fathers have made in our lives. It’s also time to think about gift ideas for dear old dad. Gone are the days of grabbing a ridiculous tie, a “World’s Greatest Dad” coffee mug or “The Grillfather” BBQ apron.  Those 3 items top the list of the 10 Worst Father’s Day gift suggestions ever!

It’s time that we stepped up our game. Wouldn’t you agree? After all your dad deserves the absolute best! Do things a little different this Father’s Day and give your dad a gift that he enjoys; something that he is proud to wear.

We are a tad bit biased here at Fay Myers when it comes to gifts for dad. If a new or used machine isn’t in your budget this year, our Parts Department has an extensive selection of clothing, parts and accessories from high quality manufactures. Outfit dad in style with riding gear, gloves, goggles, glasses, gear bags, jackets, t-shirts and more! Get ready to prepare and protect dad no matter what the journey may bring.

Bottomline…. our dads will always be our heroes (even if they don’t wear capes). Gift or not, just spending time with him will make this Father’s Day extra special!
